Let's say I think Amazon is evil and I have bad past history with things from Deep Discount DVD just getting lost.

Who do I order DVD's from?

At the moment, particularly looking for good prices on Whoniverse (new series) stuff.

Oh neat! I'd been looking for a Europe-friendly Amazon alternative, and HMV looks quite good, so thanks! :)

rm, I'd like to unrecommend Play.com. I've been a customer since 2002, and they used to be quite good, with excellent customer service where you would send an email and a real person would answer within hours, but it's gone down the drain now :/ My last orders have either taken more than a month to arrive, or never arrived at all, and now to contact customer service you need to phone in, to a phone number that's never worked for me. Quite annoying.

I think so. She said Amazon substitutes, though, so HMV for media and that for books covers it all.
