  • Yesterday, I had a migraine. At least that's what I think happened. I was abruptly motion sick, and then severely light sensitive and then hid in the bedroom and slept for 15 hours. It was terrible, although not as bad as the last one, and at least I recognized it for what it was before I let it get out of hand.

  • What I did do yesterday before that come one though was go to Bed, Bath and Beyond where I was whiny about highball glasses (the cats had broken most of our glasses of any sort, so I was going to get a new set, but then decided they just had to have the _perfect_ highball glasses, and you know how I get) but eventually found some I liked, got a mini-vacuum for the pet hair and a new bathmat. This was largely on the Citibank ThankYou network, much to my great pleasure.

  • I also tried to finally watch the rest of Kings, I'm on episode 6, and wow it really picked up there. I love the heightened, formal dialogue, but totally get why the show did not work and no one cared. But it was such a random, freaky ambitious thing. I'm sad that there's just this season of it to watch.

  • Today it is rainy and gross. I will do laundry and change the cat-litter and do a lot of work from home. I plan to be as lazy as possible with everything other than my brain. I think Patty is going to do the same. We'll also be a bit domestic and clear space inside for some of the plants that can't do the winter outside, and I'll show her how to log into all the cruise stuffs as well.

  • Meanwhile, this bit of kinky geekery made my morning (SFW).

  • The Interstitial Arts Foundation wants you.

  • Two fundraising projects, a cookbook and an anthology, are being planned for [livejournal.com profile] editrx and [livejournal.com profile] baron_elric.

  • Polanski finally arrested.

  • Listening to Vienna Teng, to which I've written scads of my Jack/Ianto stuff, so it's always a bit.... twisty.

Yep, sounds like the kind of migraines I get. If I lie down while it's still at that stage, I can fend off the hours of excruciating pain. But that's a big if.

So not what I wanted to hear, but at least I'm understanding it and they always come right at the end of my period, so at least there's a system/pattern to deal with. I've had other headache things at the end of my period for years, but they always seemed more like "really bad headaches" than migraines, until this business started. Ah well. Age. Feh.

    Polanski finally arrested.

Have you seen what's been going on with @brbfckingevry1 and @brbmakingcoffee on Twitter!?

    It's mad! I love it.

I was so stoked when they finally arrested Polanski. I seriously want to smack people who, in all seriousness, that he's such a great director and should be forgiven. I hated The Pianist as a movie for various reasons, but Polanksi winning the Oscar for it really made me angry.

Sounds like a migraine to me.

I loved Kings, but I kinda knew it was not to be. Ah, well.

Glad you're over your migraine. I'm told they can be horrific.

"Interstitial arts" made me think of graffiti on the mortar between the bricks.

The show was too elegant for TV. I totally understand why it didn't make it, but I still miss it.
