ahhhhh, that's better
Nov. 19th, 2009 11:10 amI said fuck it.
Wearing my black suit, and my striped peach shirt, and the Ianto tie and it is SO MUCH BETTER.
All the boys here are nervous. They say "but I miss the green dress!" I laugh, like a girl, since I'm supposed to and I say, "well, it's just that you all looked so good in your suits yesterday, I had to try too."
That seems to placate them, but it also seems clear that they know I'm a liar, that I don't mean it like that, that I'm just saying it so we can all get past it. And then I smile in a way that isn't for anyone real.
The church bells rang all night last night, often erroneously -- 4:15am, 6 chimes at 5am, etc. Strange. And I have not slept in such a small bed since I was a child. It's narrower than twin. Yeah.

Date: 2009-11-19 04:20 pm (UTC)And I'd bet anything, the church bells are for time telling. Every 15 minutes, the ringing pattern gets a bit longer, and the longest ring is the top of the hour, followed by the shortest ring at 15 after? May not be Westminster chimes, but... That wasn't at all uncommon in most Swiss towns I've visited. The bells I could deal with. The fact that the whole town more or less shut down at lunch time, I could not :)
