Me: Can I kiss you? Patty: As long as you don't impregnate me with a cow. Me: No. Patty: No? Really, really no. Me: Don't worry, I have many skills, that's not one of them.
Apparently, I just had to be a total mopey fucker about Gallifrey earlier. Now I'm all like bouncy-bouncy-bouncy-I-love-the-Whoniverse-and-all-of-fandom. It will be awesome. I will be awesome. Also, PlaneCon 2010! Seriously, how many of us are on that Virgin America flight? Five or six that I know of off-hand. Sadly, I should be responsible on said flight and spend it doing things like: the sewing I'm sure I won't finish; the pitches I'm working on; novel novel novel. But, you know, I'll probably be harassing my seatmates instead.
So Claudette is my first partially white cat. She needs dusting!
I know how and why this happens, but can I just fucking express my horror once again that it's cheaper to fly from NYC to Hyderabad than it is to fly to London. FUCK EVERYTHING.
Heh. (Aren't there some other multi-seat interactives that work similarly? We'll have to make sure we know each other's seat-numbers on boarding. I predict hilarity, heh heh heh.)
I can't stand when people are too damn lazy to take off their fugly pajama pants and put on something else to go shopping. I saw it quite a bit in NYC, but it's nothing compared to Boston suburbs. I've seen kids walking to school in their PJs. Seriously.
I paid just over 900 round-trip for my tickets from DFW to Heathrow. It is actually cheaper for me to fly to Hamburg than it is to London! ARgh.
I *am* and have been watching BH since its beginning but am a couple episodes behind until Nick has time to watch. This should be intriguing given all the odd hints floating about.
Will not wear my pj's to Tesco while in Cardiff. Right. Thanks for that tip!
Continental. I had to buy them sorta last-minute--a few weeks before they were cheaper. I've never flown Continental to Europe. I prefer to fly United or Lufthansa if possible; Lufthansa especially if I am going to Germany to see my partner.
Got these through Priceline and this close-in, it was a real pain as I'd think I'd secured a flight only to have them say Nope, no can have, start over, please. I generally get my tickets via cheaptickets.com but priceline beat them this time. Once I got the best deal by going direct to the airline itself (United in that case).
Hi sorry I missed this but I'm in the middle of moving from Dallas back to Greenville and so I'm running around like a chicken w/ it's head cut off.
I usually fly British Airways but money's really kinda tight right now & so I'm having to look into other options for my April trip. I've never used priceline before, it's always sounded a little dodgy to me. Thanks for the info.
It all went fine! Try cheaptickets.com too. I've used a few others as well.
The concern about British Airways is it is facing a possible strike--I'd avoid them and Lufthansa as both are in threat-stage. United was very good, and my kids are about to fly KLM to Italy and got really good prices for that. American was okay but nothing special. (that is why I love Lufthansa! best food and nice hot towels.. LOL)
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Being Human, especially with regards to Annie as she deals with being a ghost, figuring out how she became a ghost, and the whole confidence=visibility thing that seems to be a big part of her story.
I just started looking for flights to London. WHAT THE FUCK? Why is it suddenly like $1000 to get to London in July? It's like $600 if I want to book a flight, like, tomorrow? Isn't it supposed to be cheaper if you book in advance?
It's looks like like just shy of $800 each for Patty and I in April and I'm seeing the same shit you are for July. I am not happy. Although I have a nefarious plan for that.
I heard about Being Human last night and how it's feeding TW S4 speculation in a way that makes me very happy.
Sadly, my nefarious plan only works for me, since it involves work chipping in for part of the flight since I'd then be heading over to Switzerland after.
Why would people go outside the house in pyjamas (that look like pyjamas - I do have a pair of sweat pants I sleep in in the winter and I've occasionally gone for a walk in those - but with proper top half on then! And I don't go into shops wearing them)? Seriously, you go out of the house, you dress!
I noticed an interesting trend in the store where I worked: more people wore pyjamas to the store on days when there's been a heavy snowfall. I guess it might be because they hade the day off work/school, but it goes against what I was always taught about dressing for winter weather.
