Also, I would have gone a lot of different directions with this plot -- less End of the World demons (try, none), less creepy I-want-to-be-trapped-fucking-my-girlfriend-forever. I really would have just made it an "ooopsie science" thing, as opposed to "THERE IS ALWAYS MALEVOLENCE." This episode really took a turn that distracted from what was interesting about it, I felt.

Date: 2010-05-01 10:07 pm (UTC)I'm still refraining from making comments about Hollywood's adolescence. Sometimes some eps or movies make me wonder if someone is channeling Beavis and Butthead.

Date: 2010-05-01 02:52 pm (UTC)Re: Lorne, I don't remember that specific episode, but overall I got the impression he's pretty much pansexual. At least, he flirts with just about everyone at some point or other. (OMGs, Jack is part Angel & part Lorne. *boggles*) Also, I'm not sure sex and/or gender are all that binary for his species, but you may not have reached the relevant eps yet, so I'll leave it there.

Date: 2010-05-01 03:54 pm (UTC)And re Lorne, I've always figured he was Bi and fabulous. Or maybe since he goes cross-species, maybe like Captain Jack he's Omni and fabulous.

Minutes later: GrammarWhuh? repaired! I actually can write in The English...

Meanwhile, I LOVE LORNE SO MUCH!!!!! But the thing where the show tries to tell us he's straight is fairly insufferable.
Gods yes. I would hope that if someone made a similar show today, that such a character could actually be queer.
