Arrive in London on July 8. See Imperial War Museum and one other thing. Gather with LJ'ers to hang if anyone is interested. Sleep the sleep of the dead.
On July 9, get up early to have a bit of a stroll and some alert time without people. Then go to St. Katharine's dock market for arancini and fudge. Then get on a train to Bristol to arrive around 3pm. Meet up with Kali and D., hang out.
July 10, conference. Post-conference dinner. Post-mortem with the LJ contingent.
July 11, some possible conference related items in the morning, with a plan to leave Bristol around noon or 1. Here I still have some unresolved choices: I can go to Bath (Regency awesome!), I can go to Cardiff (thus allowing me to deal with my issues, but in relative peace, and also get some Fabulous Welsh Cakes), or I can head directly back to London. Much of this depends on whether there are places to leave luggage in the Cardiff or Bath train stations on a Sunday (anyone know?), as my suitcase is easy and small, but still shit for walking around. At any rate, I will arrive back in London that evening regardless of any circuitous routes I might take to get there.
July 12, Tesco shopping, and a yet to be determined attraction. Then to the airport.
It's almost a plan.

Date: 2010-06-05 10:52 pm (UTC)Unless things have changed drastically, there is no train station in the UK that will accept luggage for love or money, due to terrorism issues and exploding luggage. Ask your hotel instead; they're much more likely to do so.

Date: 2010-06-06 02:18 am (UTC)Was watching a Buffy rerun with my eldest daughter (six-years-old)and she asked why Tara and Willow were kissing, so I explained to her not all girls love boys and that girls can love girls and boys can love boys if they want to.
The best part of the conversation? Her reaction. She just shrugged and said, Okay... No questioning it, no ewwww or anything. A shrug, and a nod, and that was that.
Now if the rest of society could be as accepting as a kindergartner.
