I think the stone is on the final part of it's journey, because I'm getting periodic sharp pains in my urinary tract and feel sort of like I have a UTI but also sort of different.

Man I hope this thing passes before I get on the flight.

It's starting to occur to me that any sane person would have bagged this trip after the last 48 hours.

I'm okay. I can do this. But I'm having another attack of Jesus riding a raptor, are you fucking kidding me?

I will keep my fingers crossed for you, that it passes either before you leave, or sudden;y decides to calm down until you get off the plane and to your hotel room.

You're an admirable soul; determined. I hope the pain passes soon and you find yourself able to relax and enjoy the trip.

Good luck -- you WILL get there, and you're doing the right thing by pressing on with this.

Also, on the topic of Jesus riding dinosaurs:

The timing is really awful, but you can do it. If you stay hydrated it will help.

In my experience you are through the worst of it, the rest is just weird (with that occasional sharp pain). You'll make it.

*gentle hugs*

Brings new meaning to 'this too shall pass' eh?

I'll be thinking good passing thoughts.

Having had two, the best advice I can give you is: push that stone downstream. Drink, drink, drink. You will be sick of water before you're through, and you will hate your bathroom for a while, but the benefit will modify some of that. :)

(((HUGS)))

Good luck!

You are a superhero. I have the photos to prove it.

Too bad you can't ride a raptor over the ocean instead of flying. It would be so much faster.

They say that it's worse than childbirth. Ow. Drink lots of water. *Sends good vibes*

If, after passing the stone, you see it open a pair of big brown eyes and gurgle “Mama!”, contact David Lynch immediately.

Ugh, I know that particular feeling all too well. Significantly increasing my water intake has proven to be a useful way to prevent this problem from coming back. In any case, I hope your actual trip is far better and easier.

I hope it passes soon enough that you can enjoy the trip.

My sister joked about giving birth to gravel and she was going to name her kidney stone... I don't know if she actually did.
