I think I've been living next to a botanica too long. It's, to me, the color of the robes on the little plaster statues they sell.

I knew what you meant, and I had a giggle over that - it was chosen to be the classic color of her robes because it epitomised a feminine ideal at the time. "Soft" blue, vs. a manly red.
