on the subject of "blood libel"

Someone else on my friends list did a poll, and I realized that I was also curious and have enough people here to get a large sample even if it's not a scientific one.

Since my big discovery of today was that lots of people didn't realize that the "blood libel" thing was a totally anti-semitic thing to say and I was surprised by that, the question becomes is this one of those things _every_ Jewish person knows but non-Jews may not have encountered?

It's like that around here. go 20 miles east of I-5 and you run into some really nasty folk.

I seem to recall that Palin's husband was heavy into the secessionist movement. There are lots of White Supremacists in that crowd (especially now that our President has the audacity to be black), and she may have picked up the term there.

I was thinking along those lines, but I don't know about their Secessionist group specifically or their particular section of Alaska, and have no one I could ask these days. It just seems like a possibility.
