Many of their correspondents are crying, talking about being born the week Mubarak came into power. There was just an interview with one women who was sobbing and she said, "This is everything I've ever cared about. As a woman. About Palestine. Now anything is possible."
Then a male correspondent: "I've seen people give birth, I've seen people get married. I've seen people graduate, and I have never seen happiness like this."

Date: 2011-02-11 08:27 pm (UTC)FWIW, I was a full grown politically active adult when the Berlin Wall came down and this feels even more exciting. We had more than 18 days advance warning that something big was going down in Germany.
I admit I'm concerned about what's going to happen after today, but I remain confident it will be an improvement over what it was like.
