Both my auditions went pretty well. I had fun. I pinpointed the one problem I consistantly have in on-camera auditions (I don't know when I'm in frame and restrict my movements). I think there's a very reasonable chance of my being cast in either of both projects. I'm pretty proud of myself, and feel like I got over a big hurdle with the process.

Was actually inside New York Film Academy for a change, auditioned in the not-remotely-as-grand-as-it-sounds-and-even-less-grand-than-you-imagine Kurasawa room. So surreal. Ran into someone from Manchurian. For someone who talks with her hands constantly, must get over my directorial hand-gestures giggle fits, but it's so hard.

Can't find my glasses, need them for Superbowl commercials.

Hoboken is cute.

And the secret of me looking good may well be the appropriate use of lipliner.

Doing a focus group on Tuesday, which is nice timing, and I bought a big sack of vegetable gyoza on the way home. Life's not perfect, but for what it is, I'm doing pretty okay.
While I do not pretend to understand the America that has unleashed things as bizarre as both Superbowl half-time shows and the infamous closing ceremonies of the Atlanta Olympics -- could someone please tell me what was up with Janet Jackson and her Clockwork Orange dancers? And that bit with her boob at the end? And bizarroworld bastardizations of 80s earworms by P. Diddy?

On the other hand -- that Linux commercial with Muhammed Ali was _awesome_. Haven't been wowed by much else though. NFL "Tomorrow" ad was both more fun and more affecting than I would have thought.
