So um... how do horses feel about rain? And um... if there were to be say thunder... how would they feel about that? Because... it's grim out there, and I want to know what I'm in for. (Granted, we'll be in the indoor ring, but still, I'm starting to get how sensitive they are, and I figure if I have opinions on weather, they might well too).

Sep. 7th, 2004 06:12 pmGood riding lesson today. Sham seems to be the horse I'm comfy with, big tall beastie that he is. Hell, I wanted majestic. I get majestic. Next week we return to the posting trot issue, as opposed to today where we looked at the posting and the trot seperately. Meanwhile, I'm buying riding pants this week, because I'm a tought cookie, but jeans, seams and my delicate bits -- we've reached my tolerance level for that shit. Anyway, I am so sweaty and gross. Bleh.
Also got a call from the stage combat people so I'll be starting that up on the 19th, which is cool. My parents are as per usual unamused, and my mother explained that while she doesn't want me to be a wimp she really wouldn't mind if I were a coward. The family is nothing if not nuanced. And my father is concerned I'm not writing enough, which I think is subtext for him saying, "that, I know you can succeed at." I'm sorta of irritated, but all I can do is work my ass off and ignore the subtext I suppose.
Vanity Fair again tonight with people.
