Coworker just leant me a CD by a band called Bloc Party, sure I would like it because of the Franz Ferdinand sitting on my desk.

Good, into, nice distraction at work. Then I heard tracks 7, 13 and 14.

My screenplay just went from 20 minutes to full length with crystal fucking clarity. Fuck. This is all sorts of inconvenient. Also inconvenient, one of my characters has a stupid name, but I can't seem to get away from it.
There _may_ be a new TSA regulation reducing the number of books allowed in your carry-on luggage from 4 to 2. Does that mean journals as well? What about datebooks? (for the record, I carried two novels, a journal and my planner on my flight to Australia, and two novels, a play, some magazines, my journal and my planner on the flight back -- horrors!) No one knows, but that we're even having this conversation is grim, yeah?

window 1: the very broken Tribeca FIlm Festival website -- it occurs to me to see if there's anything I care about happening. But it's BROKEN. Also, panel discussion with Peter Greenway -- interesting or wanky? (that is, does anyone know if he's an engaging speaker? His films interest me as a rule, but not always in a good way). I've actually never been to anything at the Tribeca, I always go to the Lincoln Center one, which I suppose is all stodgy and uncool now. I dunno the film festival scene weirds me out, although I'm thinking FlickerFest sorta helped innoculate me against the pomposity-without-purpose factor.

This says it all kids.
Not quite Darrell Lea, but i got the texture, taste and consistency much closer this time. Secrets seem to be using caster sugar (which is very hard to find here), more boiling, a tiny bit of vanilla extract and a hell of a lot more than a "pinch" of cream of tartar.

I was going to do coconut bread tonight too, as that is breakfast for a week, but I need more flour and sugar and I am not sure if I am that motivated, having already braved the grocery store once today.
