(no subject)
Nov. 30th, 2005 11:36 amI did not get done the things I wanted to this morning (laundry), but I did get done other things (dishes and my clothes put away, or at least into my room) and so feel accomplished anyway. Having dinner with Kit Kat tonight.
I'd really like the anxiety dreams about background work (and a specific PA) to stop. I mean, so not a worthy subject.
I skimmed through a big chunk of Roman Holiday/Jewel of the Nile/etc. last night because several people on my friends list have just discovered/rediscovered it. Well, it seems I have too. I forgot how much I can like a het version of Snape, particularly that one. I also forgot that oh yeah, there was a reason Snape/Hermione was fun to read other than fannish dramarama on the relevant lists and the tortured misunderstood genius angle. It's one of those things I could get all analytical about, but blah blah blah my life as a girl blah blah blah my relationship history with men blah blah blah patience for other people blah blah blah and I had long curly hair blah blah blah really covers it instead -- and is probably funnier. And more interesting. There's sort of no end to the contempt I have for my twenty-something self, even if I'm a little awed by how ballsy (and stupid) I often was.
I heard from one of the kids from that thing I used to stage manage -- for Americans who studied in Britain. He's thinking of moving to New York and wanted to know how the work was here. So that was nice. I still have to mail Karen and let Marrilynn know about the play (which I now have a stage manager for, but not a complete cast).
Off to buy a router.
Tomorrow it will be December.
