I was too bone tired to do any [livejournal.com profile] novel_in_90 last night, but I figured out, finally, the magical system (for realz) and Eiov's first scene. So that's exciting. I'll get mocked on tehf orums for not writing, but I'll make it up tonight and so it goes. It's getting done and it's getting done on pace and that's what matters. Also how anyone could expect me not to be bone tired on Mondays and Wednesdays I will never, ever know. I suppose the issue isn't don't be tired, but the issue is don't let it matter. I am still trying to be gentle with myself though after the adrenalin of the last week, and I think I am entitled (although I am never sure).

German money drama continues to the extent that I don't know if I am going to Vermont this weekend. Hopefully there will be good news today and all of this will be a non issue.

Having dinner with Kat tonight.

I ate gluten-free sausage and peppers last night, which was pretty damn exciting.

I had other news or reports, somehow, somewhere, but they seem to have drifted off.
I think [livejournal.com profile] ellen_kushner may be on to something.

I was having a major cashflow drama that was going to impact my ability to go to Vermont this weekend for [livejournal.com profile] schpahky's graduation. Instead of just doing the "*grumble**grumble* mercury retrograde" thing, I said to Alison in email that perhaps I just need to offer prayers to Mercury/Hermes.

One hour later, cash flow problem solved.

Ha!

When I was a child, for the record, I was obsessed with Hermes. He was so pretty in D'Aulaire's Mythology and I always dressed up as him for all the school events (Latin class and related) that required that sort of thing, until one year I got forced to be Artemis. He was one of the first things I loved, one of my first imaginary and constant companions. And to this day, he still comes through for me. Every damn time.
