- I am trying to stave off a cold.

- Yes, this is probably Patty's cold that I felt sure I didn't get. We had a quiet at-home Halloween last night as she's still recovering. I finally got to see The Nightmare Before Christmas and kept howling about "why isn't this on Broadway?" and "Someone needs to write me Jack/Snape crossover fic now!" You have your challenges people; get on it!

- I am trying not to think about this JKR/book thing.

- Key to that? Not getting into discussions about copyright law with a bunch of 13-year-olds. I didn't. But I thought about it. Can we go back to arguing about whether Dumbledore is a pedophile now? Pleeeease. *rolls eyes*

- Did I tell you my I Can Eat It products are here? Did I tell you they are amazing? And, and! They also have baguettes and brioches and so forth now. I'm going to try to organize the kitchen enough this weekend to justify a massive order from these people.

- I cut at my foot some more. You wanted to know that, right? Now it's much better. Really gross, but now I'm only dealing with pain if I hit the bruised bone a certain way and there's nothing I can do about that.

- Yay, Mercury retrograde is over! But not before Patty and I confused each other this morning and my credit card got rejected for no discernable reason.

- Apparently the company that owns the company that owns our building is getting hit with a huge class action suit. I'm bemused, because they are fucktards who deserve it on principle.

- I am not one for photo holiday cards. They are completely outside of my understanding of the world, however, there is a part of me that feels Patty and I should be greivously cute and gay for the holiday season. I mean, we're getting a tree! I mean, made of plastic, from Target, but I've never had a tree before.

- If I could find a way to attach Little Kitty to the ceiling for an hour she'd eat all the flies up there like a frog and that would be awesome. Unfortunately, there is gravity.

- Tonight: Les Miserables!

- Tomorrow: NaNoWriMo, like for realz. Luckily I'm coming in with something that needs a new first scene and a major edit for the first week.

Wow, I'd forgotten how slashy that show can be.

I'm sort of entirely in it for the stuff where Jean Valjean and Javert have their little singing arguments.

Anyway, wow, GREAT voices in this.

Javert. Javert.... aie. It's performances like this that make me glad I'm not a man because my life would revolve around lamenting not having just that much charisma, and I come with a lot of charisma as is.

"Castle on a Cloud" is still the most annoying song in the world.

And poor little Gavroche almost didn't manage to climb the baracde -- ah, previews.

Javert's suicide was not as effective as in the first NYC production, but then that actor was a dancer and they were able to choreograph it better. This guy isn't.

But seriously, the voices! To rant about the good guy for a second, Bring Him Home was astounding. You could hear the audience holding its breath!

Speaking of audiences: cute little girl behind us asking "is that Cosette?" every time a woman appeared on stage until it actually was Cosette -- cute.

Woman sitting next to me singign along, not just with the rousing large group call to revolution chorus things so that I couldn't realyl entirely notice her, but with theme music no one on stage was singing to? SHUT THE FUCK UP! If I ever commit murder, it will surely be at the theatre.

Anyway, we're both sniffly, so it's to bed!
