- So crazed. I really, really just want to have nothing to do for a little while but relax with Patty.

- The office looks amazing. She's a superhero.

- I have expertise on a given subject. The sharing of it has the potential to reduce emotional harm in a given situation involving people I can only consider to be acquaintances. On one hand, I feel obligated to share. On another, don't we have to learn these lessons ourselves? Ultimately, my reluctance isn't philosophical though. I just don't care that much. Am I wrong?

- Atlanta is going to be rad. Must be disciplined and sleep and relax and be good to my baby.

- Speaking of Atlanta. One day I will stop laughing that the nearest Waffle House is next to a strip club. But today is not that day.

- So if I can find a broken cell phone of a certain sort (it's some European thing, thank you, helpful people) on Ebay for cheap, I found someone who will build the leather part of Jack's wrist strap for me. Yeah. Okay. I'm weird and I sort of suck. Mumble. Mumble.

- In September I'm going to stop working weekends. Only weekends doing things for the house, or relaxing or doing a bit of freelance work from home. No office.
[livejournal.com profile] deliasherman needs some help on proper phrasing of stuff for her website, and what's a logistical question for her is an interesting question for all of us. YA, of course, makes perfect sense in certain circles, but how do these things translate for actual readers and web surfers?

See if you can help her out:

politics

Y'all know I'm not a fan of Hilary Clinton.

I think she's generally a lousy speechmaker (making statements into questions as women too often do and as someone of her level in politics has no excuse for not having erradicated from her vocal repetroire), have problems with her tolerance for some of Israel's shenanigans (and I support the existence of Israel! Their government just appalls me with frequency), think she and her husband used the gay community and then sold us out, believe much of her campaign strategy for addressing the woman factor was, in fact, insulting to me as a woman (although I am admittedly atypical), think she's always been an inconsistent mess on Iraq and worry about many of her economic positions. Etc. etc. etc.

All of that said:

That was the best speech I've ever seen her give. It was one of the better poitical speeches I've ever seen anyone give. Parts of it nearly moved me to tears. She did right and she did well, and it was FANFUCKINGTASTIC and marks the first time in a very long time that I'm utterly thrilled she's on our side.

Really great oratory. If she'd let herself be that person in the campaign, she might be speaking on Thursday.
