This has been a long ass day so far and it's only 2:30.

I'm going to go get lunch, write an LfT thing, work on the novel a bit, do some work work, and then maybe noodle some on the latest Klaine thing (I'm trying to resist the evil elision and failing) tonight.

Talked to Patty earlier, got cut off because of annoyances with the calling card company I use. But she's good, although a bit stir crazy and bored. 11 days, you guys.
An incredibly short list at the request of a few people on Twitter.

First, I'll say that the share of awesome and decent stories on [livejournal.com profile] kurt_blaine is much better than in most fandoms I've been in. Also, it's about the NICEST fandom community I've ever run into. So you can go digging there without getting too frustrated.

[livejournal.com profile] wordplay is writing a series of loosely linked stories that are future!fic set in college (I didn't find hers until I'd already written two of mine -- hers are very different). You can read them all or you can just read the most recent one, which I kid you not is the hottest thing I have ever read in any fandom EVER. Although, it might also be hitting a particular nerve with me right now that will be obvious once you read it. HOTTEST THING EVER, PEOPLE. Also, story (and series) gets bonus points for avoiding heteronormativity and attempting to actually locate itself in gay culture.

[livejournal.com profile] sotto_voice wrote a Star Trek AU. I tried not to read it. I just thought it wouldn't work for me, or whatever, although I grew up on Trek like anyone and did sort of love the reboot movie. Okay. THIS IS PURE AWESOME. It also hit some personal buttons that are far too complicated and embarrassing to explain. Just trust me, there's this moment 20% of the way into the fic where I was like "Oh no you didn't!" If you're one of the people who's known me long enough to know why this made me laugh my ass off at myself, you're not allowed to share.

[livejournal.com profile] rayslady wrote some RPF. This is not the post where we discuss the moralty of RPF. If you don't like RPF, you really won't like this. It's also about a lot of people being really drunk a lot of the time, which may also be a squick. However, I think the very idea of Glee RPF is fascinating (think about it: fictional backstage stories about the real people/personas creating a fictional backstage story -- this is made even odder in the case of Glee once you factor "A Very Potter Musical" into the whole thing. It's just... MUST WRITE SERIOUSLY ON THIS SUBJECT) and complicated. This just masters the art of the run-on drunken thought in a way that made me very fond. Also makes me realize that the RPF I am the most all over is RPF about people connected to fiction that is in itself a backstage story. That might divulge on odd secret of mine, if so, keep it to yourself.

[livejournal.com profile] rachel_riot90 wrote us a fic centered on the fact that the Warblers have a lot of rules. Blaine and Kurt _finally_ getting together means they might need some new ones. Funny, and the voices are spot on.

[livejournal.com profile] lookninjas wrote an awesome piece about Burt trying to be a father figure to Blaine. She makes deductions it wouldn't have occurred to me to make, but that strike me as dead on. The voices are fantastic.

[livejournal.com profile] parsnips wrote a fic that actually takes us into the official relationship if it had happened in direct response to the disaster at the GAP. I can hear Kurt's every word in this perfectly. She also writes his body language really well. Blaine gets a fab speech too. I love this massively.

[livejournal.com profile] devonwood wrote some bondage porn. I've read a lot of bondage porn, and being a kinkster myself I tend to have a lot of opinions about bondage porn. This is perfectly acceptable bondage porn that's remarkable in that it reads pretty plausibly for these two pretty screwed up kids. But I'm actually rec'ing it for one fairly innocuous six word segment that's just the loveliest little moment to me. I'm not telling what it is, but I think it jumps off the page, and I think you'll see it too.
