question...does google send a message to your gmail account when you get new invites to pass around or does it show up somewhere in your settings or on the log-in page? i haven't gotten any spare invites to give out and i've been using my account...not sure if there's somewhere that i should be looking or if it would be obvious.

I didn't get any notification -- just click on the "Invite a Friend" link and it will show you how many you have left. I just generated another 5 invites, so you should have some as well.

i don't think that i've lost my mind...really, i don't. but i *entirely* don't see that link anywhere. where does it live?

just went and checked the gmail help page on that. it says that the link won't appear until i do actually have invites. so i guess that means that i'm supposed to be using my account more. ;-)

it's usage dependent it seems, and also based on how quickly you give them out and how quickly they are accepted.
