On a more lucid occassion I'm sure I'll expound on one or the other and why the movie makes very very clear that this is in fact the case.

Also, one second viewing, I realized that the answer to _everything_ is in the first 60 or so seconds of the film. Very fucking clever.

Additionally, I would strongly recommend a quick google on the Merovingian for anyone looking to unravel the film's mythology.

Everyone who dissed the first movie as simplistic mainstream Christian allegory was seriously wrong.

Did you catch that Trinity used NMAP to hack a net? It's quite legit and the geeks are applauding. It's the " Real geek " that I have been demanding in movies as long as you have known me.
