I dreamed of feeding Amanda chocolate and airplane timetables gone horribly out of wack -- specifically flights to actual places had all seemed to replaced by 15-minute flights in ten-seat planes to a place called Harris, TX -- don't know where that came from. Is there a place called Harris, TX?

Off to work now, and to engage in my magical bargain hunting mojo after work to have a gown for the shoot on Monday.

I bought a pair of fuschia linen pants at Old Navy yesterday. I look good in bright colors, and they are successful for me, but it's nearly impossible for me to reconcile them with anything about my own nature, which is maybe why it's a good thing. I'm not sure. Excuse me while I beat off my tendency to austerity with a stick.

I'm expending nearly all my energy right now on not being avoidant of people. And it's working, micron by micron.

Stoop sat outside of Australian Homemade for hours last night with Kat, and laughed at weird people, from the handyman who ran like a girl, to the chick with her ass hanging out of her skirt, to the dude who wanted to be in a Stray Cats video really, really badly. We also discovered more of the words we whisper when in conversation in public. We have four, but the only two I can remember right now are fanfiction (mine) and socialism (hers).

At the moment, I hate all my icons, because none of them are me. But I would never, ever post a candid of myself, because I look notoriously hideous in them.

I've seen you look good in some candids (Bruce has at least one of you that's good, and I have memories of shots of you dancing at Mother), but I think part of your appeal is your motion; if you're caught is that weird space between motion and chosen stillness, there's an ... awkwardness is not quite what I want, but close enough.

Perhaps it's because one of the words I think of when I think of you is "definite." Not always right, but appearing definite in your directions.

(Maybe I should make coffee, and see if this makes more sense.)

my job interview jacket is BRIGHT PURPLE SILK. usually i wear much more muted colors (my sister claims that it's so i don't have to coordinate my wardrobe; i can grab anything i want if it's all green, blue, and black) but i figure it makes me memorable, which can't be bad.

There's a Harris county in Texas. That's actually Houston's county.

its the county of houston and Galveston.
Also grasion county (near dallas) has a little town called harris. Interesting to note that this town is near Trenton where a private air strip is. You could never know any of that without actually having been there, so I think you were dreaming of Houston.

I've been through Houston on bus, when I was in not condition to pay attention.

I suspect, that the origin of that detail is Kat and I were talking about election politics, and Harris was the name of that awful woman from Florida who was messed up in it all.

Also I suppose lots of little towns in big places have airstrips and such.

Hmmm. Wacky. Thanks!

There is also the burg of Paris, TX. If it was a smaller town that you envisioned, perhaps that was it.
