Despite getting not enough sleep yesterday, things are not bad.

Held to my resolve and actually worked out last night. Does wonders for the posture.

Found a website by accident about making chainmail and that's obsessing me now (hello, if there was ever something appropriate for the long hours of background boredom this is it... also, I AM A GEEK).

Slept on my hair wet, and it's sort of offensively curly now, and I'm painfully amused enough that I'm going to let it be for the day.

My Republicans for Voldemort t-shirt arrived. Let's see who tries to fight with me on the subway.

Today's BPAL scent is The Apothocary.

Had a funny web conversation that yielded things that aren't funny to anyone but me. I keep chuckling over one particularly innocuous line.

Humid as the devil here.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs

despite the gothity goth goth nature of a lot of their product names, BEST PERFUME EVER. All vegan, all hand blended, and many of the scents very intelligent and unusual.

The link isn't working but I'll try later.

Right now I am harrumphing at both The Body Shop and Aveda for discontinuing, within a year, the only two smells I've ever found right for me. So, one seeks the Best Perfume Ever.

I'm daft:
http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com

They do a thing -- 6 samples for $15, and they generally throw in another two for free.

That's currently what I'm going though... and of the 8 I've gotten, I think I might be ordering as many as 6.

You'll want http://www.theringlord.com

Its like knitting. But with pliers. I don't think it will catch on like the knitting thing because it makes your fingers smell like steel. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on what your mood is.

That was precisely the website I was looking at.

During his time spent with the SCA, my friend S and another pal of his ran a forge, and he and some mates made various types of armor, including chain mail.

I'm happy to note that chainmail does not require a forge of any sort. If you have the appropriate tools, you can make your own links and sorta do your own weaving (not sure what the appropriate term may be.)

It is however, extremely tedious. Wasn't sure how bored you were..but...
