Backgroung work was hell tonight, and I'll perhaps write about that at length tomorrow. Film is set in 1985, and my hair was even more awful than my hair actually was in the 80s (a hard enough concept to grasp, I assure you). No, I don't have pictures. Basically, take Lancelot's hair from the King Arthur movie and make it 8 billion times poofier. Then add Molly Ringwald and trigger an explosion near a ten-gallon drum of green eye-shadow. Yeah. I'm a real looker right about now.

I'm going to sleep. Tomorrow may be another day, but it's also far too soon.

They didn't CUT it for the scene, did they? Just for a background gig? Hopefully it was only styled bad and you could take it out later..

I worked on an episode of MONK where I played a tourist in Mexico. They had me in Bermuda shorts, a t-shirt that said something stupid and I had all of this camera equipment hanging around my neck. The worst part was the sneakers and white socks. At least I got to go home as myself after the shoot and didn't have to leave the set like that.

No. I wouldn't let them cut my hair for background work. I just need to wash a lot of crap out of it.

*WHEW*.. I didn't think you would have cut it for that. I cut my hair for the film "Seabiscuit" but I got almost three months of work out of it. It wasn't a stretch since I had a conservative cut anyway and all they did was give me a thirties era men's cut, which is really shaved in the rear but a tad long in front. It actually wasn't that bad! Very retro :-)
