You know, the presidential debates irritate me for a lot of reasons, including the fact that they are barely debates in many ways (no direct engagement, etc).

That said, the mounting evidence (when this first surfaced yesterday, I thought it was major tin-hat stuff) that Bush was wearing an earpiece during the first debate has me utterly fucking crazed. If this is true, then there's no bloody point in even having debates! And if this isn't true, shame on whoever decided that making Bush look stupid was somehow worth making liberals look batshit.

And Kerry had a piece of paper. Looking at the evidence, there was no earpiece.

If there was... it didn't help (though I suppose that could be the cause of his vapid expressions, attention to the earpiece) but if he was being fed those answers... it speaks more ill of his campaign than his performance would without aid.

Gods yes. These people are scary enough that a few of the more nutty theories are true and so it's now almost impossible to know which ones are false.
