(I should note these capture none of the romance of the evening, mainly because we had to turn on the flourescents to get them to come out. Some folks with digitals took photos in the better, dimmer lighting, and hopefully those will appear soon).
Today should be a little on the interesting side. I have a riding lesson, and it's very cold, and rainy and I can't really straighten one of my legs without supreme effort because of the dance the other day. Of course, I don't really have to straighten my legs in riding, but it's very sore. Oh well, I've discovered riding is often a choice to ignore stuff until the split second before you have to deal with it. Actually, it just occurs to me that in my life I've taken flying, sailing and riding lessons (
baldanders has seen me scamper around on top of a Cesna to check fuel, and when an ex-bf and I took sailing lessons and Debbie Harry was in our class). That's sort of hardcore. Too bad I'm so not.
That said, it was very nice when one of the very serious female riders at the Assembly said she thought I was very brave to take up riding at my age having never done it before. That helped, a great deal. Not the flattery, so much as the confirmation of my insanity.

And belated congratulations on getting those kudos from the dance instructor as well! I hope that works out.
