the news at last
Nov. 12th, 2004 06:14 pmWhile on one hand this isn't a very big deal (it's not like getting into their three-year program, a process which has been described to me as closely mirroring my conception of hell), on the other hand I've been trying to make this happen for fourteen months and admission is competative and I did have to convince these people that I have training and career behind me.
In short, I got into NIDA, and I am, in fact, really, actually going to Australia.
On the corner by Old Navy I burst into tears and randomly started singing Ani DiFranco's Both Hands. While some people never understood me, I am certifiably a stranger to them now. I hadn't realized that was one of the things this is about, but so it is.
I'm very happy, and FREAKED OUT OF MY TINY LITTLE MIND!

bring me back a poisonous creature!
think of it as a recruiting mission for the republican party.
