Nov. 18th, 2004 08:01 pmThere is no way to describe how exhasting background work can be. I was on my feet, outside for almost all of today, from 7:30 until we wrapped at 6:30. The really good news, other than getting paid AFTRA wages, is that they had me doing stand-in work for a while, so I might get an upgrade, which would be financially beautiful. I go really zen when all the attention is on me. It's a little weird. But I just slide in this very comfortable place.
Meanwhile, Aztec horoscope:
4 Oct 1972 (after sunset)
The Day is 10 Tecpatl (Flint Knife)
The sign of Tecpatl is the flint knife, which was used both to sacrifice victims and also to make fire.
The presiding deity is Chalchiuhtotolin, a form of the god Tezcatlipoca as the Jewelled Turkey. Those who saw this terrible apparition of Tezcatlipoca could enjoy great riches and wealth, provided that they could hold him by the tail. Few who saw it at night however had the courage and generally ran away in fear.
The person born on this day is sharp, like the knife, and productive, like the sparks that make the fire. They could therefore be very creative with ideas and will make an excellent business partner.
Some will lack moral courage and be afraid to take a risk by running away every time danger appears, but others will take the situation firmly in hand and to these the wealth will come.
The Week is 1 Atl (Water)
This week is also presided over by Chalchiuhtotolin
People born during this week will be courageous, forthright and successful. They will also be deceptive, especially with members of the opposite sex, however the signs of penance that are within this week signifies a forgiving nature and a good chance that they are the type to suffer pangs of remorse.
This person makes rather a mixed bag, with both courage and deceit, the power to overthrow enemies and yet feelings of guilt and penance for doing so. It is possible that individuals will also have a strong religious inclination, out of which they will find much joy.

Lord of the Flayed One
Date: 2004-11-19 09:02 am (UTC)People born on this day are sharp, like the reed, and able to inflict wounds with harsh words. They are not easily fooled, being able to see things more clearly than others, but above all else they will make fine warriors and leaders. The influence of Tezcatlipoca could well incline individuals to farsightedness, bordering on premonitions and this might provide a more mysterious side to their nature.
And hey, look, mine also uses the word "flayed"!
The Week is 1 Itzcuintli (Dog)
The presiding deity is Xipe Totec, our Lord the Flayed One and god of seed time. Just as Jesus Christ suffered pain and death in order to save mankind, so Xipe Totec offered the pain and suffering of being skinned alive.
An auspicious week in which to be born and the person whose birth date falls within it will be strong, honest, and of good principles. They will shoulder any burdens laid upon them with great courage, even though it might hurt them in some way to do it. They will make fine companions or friends and will help you whenever you find troubles piling up.
They will also possess a fertile imagination and a creative nature, just as the seeds spring forth creating new life.
Well, at least there's that fertile imagination!
