Jan. 12th, 2005 07:55 pmThe new building at NIDA -- we enter through here, must most of our work is in the old buildings, which I'll post pictures of to the extend I can (they're really nuts about photography)
A common walk of mine
A church on Darlinghurst Rd. just off Oxford Street
Darlinghurst Rd. walking towards Kings Cross
The Gazebo Cafe -- the white building in the background is a hospital
Darlinghurst Rd. and some street I've forgotten the name of.
Darlinghurst Rd. at Liverpool
Kings Cross Hotel -- note that a "hotel" here is usually a bar, that may or may not provide accomodation.
The Aboriginal flag combined with a memorial to Dr. Martin Luther King on the side of a building in Newtown. There's something similar of the Black Panther salute being given at the Olympics on the side of a building in Redfern that I also want to get a picture of. One of the things I'm discovering about Australia is that for all the aggravations we're causing the world right now, they still believe in the idea of America... even if we don't. Film people, in particular, seem to have such a romance about it -- but that digresses and I'll attempt to write about it at a later date.
