Having finally finished providing interview questions to all who asked, and curious what many of you would ask me, but not up to the further perpetuation of the meme --

ask me anything, by posting in comments. One per person please.

I realize this is two questions:

What is the word for dog in Finland, and why do they call it that?

LOl. Compound questions are fine.

The word...in Finland, for dog... it is prakiavat! I don't know why they call it that... *hairflip* but they do.... *whistful gaze*

How many cats do you have, and what are their names?

Oh my god, do people really not know this?

I have two, and their real names are Shiyung and Aziz.

However, only the vet calls them that, and they are, in actuality Little Kitty and Pretty Kitty. It should be noted that Little was the run of the littler, has a short little tail and a tiny weasel head, but has gotten very fat in the last couple of years, while Pretty remains the thin, neurotic, self-injuring glamour cat.

Pretty is also known as Other Cat as she was called for her first two weeks with me, and Most Honorable Number Two Cat.

What is the common characteristic of the people you keep close to you?

I think, the simplest thing to say, is that we all admire each other, for what most people find most unreasonable about us, which is to say our relentlessness.

I don't think all of my really close friends are living how they want yet, or even pursuing that at the level they want to be, but to put it in the parlance of Gattca -- we've all exceeded our expiration dates, we're all already more than we're supposed to be, or than other people have wanted us to be. I think we've all responded to the violence in the world that demands we never be exceptional or proud or really vary from what is comfortable for other people in regards to even the most mundane subjects and met that with an agression in kind.

Everyone I know actively chooses to live, which isn't a big dramatic statement about overcoming hardship or depression as much as it is a simple way to say, my friends bother to do what most people don't. They don't necessarily get over their fear or their issues or their injuries or desires, but exist in the name of who they are, instead of inspite of it.

The people I'm close to don't deny themselves things, and when they do try to, it's so amazingly inorganic to them. And I think that makes us all terribly ambitious, albeit in really different ways.

How's that for a convoluted answer?

That's a very fine convoluted answer, thank you.
