Last week I had to buy new linen capris from Old Navy because I wore my other pair out too severely. Like the fabric just started disintegrating in multiple places. Which makes me sad, because those pants were perfect and had travelled around the world with me. Woe.

More woe however is the new pair I don't like as much. The waist is too high, the cut is too narrow and they don't have the cute little ties at the ankle. *sigh* I suppose I need to dig my hideous burnt orange ones out of my trunk and wear those this summer. I mean, they are _really_ funny.

In other news, I auditioned to be a lesbian in a MetLife ad the other day. Ah yes, the joys of being 30 with short hair and a non-P&G face. It's like the P&G folks go from sassy -> soccer mom and us white ethnics go from sassy -> dyke. Ah Marketing, let me pat you on the head as I smile and nod. Also, have noticed in ads that the gay couples are always also the interacial couples now, like... let's concentrate the hate letters to one portion of the campaign. Ah... America... get over it already.
