greyhounds!

A dogtrack in CT is closing, and any of the hundreds of dogs there that are not adopted will be euthanized. They've managed to get a court order to extend the time period to get the dogs out, but that's still a lot of greyhounds. If you've been considering getting a dog or have room to foster a dog and are in the area, check out http://www.dakinshelter.org/news.html for more information on the dogs and their situation.

UPDATE: Apparently this is one of those out of hand internet things, and the greyhounds will be okay.

ack.

normally i'm a cat person. but i love greyhounds. i've wanted one for years.

if only i didn't live in a fifth floor walk-up. this is frustrating and makes me a little sad. i wish one could come live with me.

Passing forward details!
