I've been looking for a word to describe today, but which I mean yesterday, but have not yet succeeded. It's been one odd damn day, filled with news that had no direct relevance to me, and included events among friends, strangers and the mass media lunacy of the Jackson thing. It's all struck me as surreal, over over and over again, and my mood has bounced around accordingly. For all that there's been no great art, eloquent rage or pithy observations, I'm just wandering around with my mouth hanging open.

Scored some auditions, at least one of the deeply absurd variety and life proceeds apace.
