apartment!

Megan and I have just applied for an exsquite apartment on 106th between 1st and 2nd. Two utterly seperate bedrooms, all newly rennovated, great light, lovely kitchen and bath, etc. It will save us both hundreds of dollars a month in rent and vastly increase the quality of our lives. I see not just the end of many debts, but the promise of travel and adventure.

So this is the part where I request, beg, cajole and hope you all will think good thoughts, pray, or whatever it is you do, that we will get approved (possibly, it seems, as soon as tomorrow).

I knew we'd find it today when i turned eat on 106th and saw the bridge over the river there. It has the same basic structure as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and in my magical world, that's a sign, and so it is.

He's not miffed he has to send checks, but seems disgruntled he has to fill out forms. "Can't I just sign something and be done with it? This is stupid. Landlords are stupid." Oh, my Dad.

Lol. I take it, howeve, he is obliging us? I'll have to do something nice for your parents, which I think either means baking for them or making myself wear a Red Socks hat during the move.

Hahahaha! If you would wear a Red Sox had during the move as a life-long New Yorker I think they would really appreciate that. If we could find a way for there to be moving-cookies avaliable too, all the more awesome.

Yes, he is. But he's grumpy about it. Not so much about the money as he is about having to send people stuff.

Btw, landlord got the other check, it was a stupid thing between the office and them again. So not our fault, and they're fine again.
