Dec. 2nd, 2005 10:06 amI'm going to have to do analysis on the Forbes article referenced because it mentions Ebay and Microsoft -- eventhough the article is about Lucius Malfoy's supposed holdings in said companies.

ETA: Actually, follow the link and then follow the link to the Forbes piece, which is a decent length. Most amusing? Even Forbes thinks Cissy and Severus are doing it.
ETA2: Second most amusing thing? The Forbes link inviting you to track news about this industry. Which industry is that, exactly? crack!fic?

Date: 2005-12-02 06:40 pm (UTC)The more I hang around fanfic types, the more reflections I see of fanfic ideas in so-called "normal" media. Like when they started playing with the subtext on Xena.
Of course quite a bit of it is certainly that you people have warped my brain. I went to see ROTK with some of my coworkers, and spent a good part of it thinking, "Must not giggle at Sam/Frodo (or Aragorn/Legolas) subtext, because then I'd have to explain myself to people I have to work with."
