Have any of the NY'ers goten to work yet? Did you see commuter vans on the bus routes? And/or did you go to a car pool staging area? Did it work? I'm trying to figure out how to get into the office.

thankfully, i have today off. HOWEVER, i do have to go in tomorrow and also make my way from 170 to the 42 street bus station to go home for the holidays. dont know how i am going to do it.

Traffic is absolutely not moving in the slightest from what I could see. Traffic cops were having trouble getting pedestrian traffic through. Other people on my friends list posted not so much trouble though. 'Iunno. Close to 115th Street there were a bunch of cabs around.

I can't remember where you work, but your best bet might be to walk up to the Metro North station and take the train into GCT. Cabs inside the HOV checkpoint zone can pick up single passengers (though word on the street is they're not being very friendly about it).

This is exactly what I did, and was relatively easy (two mile walk all in all,to the station and then to work, as opposed to at least twice that).

Lucky, our software won't work outside of our office. hell, it barely works in our office.
