In my nearly perpetual need to do something stupid, I'm starting to seriously contemplate taking the bus to Amanda's wedding. It's cheap (under $180), will only take a day and a half, and may just fill my ongoing need for difficult travel in a foreign land where I don't speak the language. We'd stop in all sorts of scenic places -- it varies depending which bus you take, but my favourite is the entry on schedule 1557 that includes a stop in ?????????????????, ?? which is probably some fucked up town near Texarkana that David Lynch is trying to buy or something.

I am a romantic fool, and it's times like these when I understand why people say it's not good for me. But the more I think about this, the more I think it's exactly right. I'm not sure why really, but I expect I'll find something out there unrelated to all the circumstances of myself and the trip, and it's much needed. Plus, if I can survive that much bus travel, I'm pretty sure I can do anything.

Meanwhile today has included two SM interviews (one's a yes, one's a I don't know), tutoring, an overheard phone call about casting stuff going on with a new Ewan McGregor movie (note: I have no interesting gossip, it was merely someone squealing over their friend being cast in a major role), a brief visit with Kat, and random exhaustion and ongoing $$ stress.

Now to wash the dishes and make guacamole and try to decide what to wear to look alternative and feline for an audition tomorrow.

Yeah -- it's almost civilized in the NE corridor because of the college kids, but this is routing through places I've never heard of, sometimes with several hour layovers there.

I dread the thought if you in a bus station for three hours, eating corndogs and attracting all kinds of unwanted attention.
