The completion of the root canal was _really_ bad. LIke, I just took _4_ advil. When is this shit gonna kick in?

On the plus side, the dentist's office carries The Advocate with the magazines, and that made me feel good, since I always feel a little extra cagey about being queer to anyone I don't know well who is going to PUT DRILLS IN MY MOUTH.

advil won't dent you. call the dentist's office and ask them to call in a prescription for codeine, tylenol 3.

oh bummer. hm. there must be some other prescription pain pill you can take. wonder if percoset or darvocet have codeine. you shouldn't have to suffer like this. damn, do i know where you're coming from..post root canal pain is truly a level of hell.

It's dulled down now, which is good. The last one I had, I had no pain after at all, so this is a bit of a surprise.

there's no way of predicting. i have had root canals that are literally non-events, and other ones that have been the most intense pain in my life. i think it has to do w/how much damage to the nerve they do when they're doing all that astounding scraping and pounding. ouchie!

Oh, hun. I'm thinking of you. Mouth pain is the WORST.

My sympathies on the Dental Issues-I was cursed at birth with bad teeth and I can, sadly, sooo relate to what you are going through.

Haha, my main dentist *is* queer. A big queer Asian with a Southern accent! Who sews wedding dresses for his niece! Which is why even though I move from city to city and have to find an emergency dentist in most cities, I still go back to my parents' city for my regular dental appointments. Because this guy is awesome!

I love my dentist.
