stupid HP cannon/fannon question

I barely even remember who Kingsley Shacklebolt is in the books ( I suppose I could go look it up in the lexicon), but could someone, ANYONE, tell me why apparently all of fannon has decided he's the sexiest thing to ever walk to the earth? Does that come from anywhere or are people just bored again?

This is so interesting. If you stumble upon it again, please point me to it. Does it take into account that everyone thought Blaise was white and/or a girl for a really long time and the resulting fandom explosion? Certainly, all of this makes me want to get to the chunk of Descensus where we actually get to develop Alyn Zabini's character (we've got it planned out, we're just not there).

I bumped into like 800 mentions of this character last night in fic, all for the first time ever and I was like what the hell? And none of them seem to mention what's the most compelling thing in this post -- someone who knew everyone during the MWPP era and wasn't damn involved in the drama and might, might just have a perspective resembling accuracy.

I went hunting for it, I will let you know if I am successful. And yes, it does take on the sudden volte-face/fandom explosion, and in a really *articulate* way, which is why I really wish I had memory'd it.

I *think* it's by shaggydogstail but I am not sure, and I went all the way through her journal tonight and couldn't find it. But I was doing some skimming. I left her a comment about it so I'll know one way or the other pretty soon. She actually has a *lot* of literate, intelligent and *adult* meta-discussion in there, a lot of which I think you would enjoy.
