Why fanfiction isn't a dirty word, low-culture or non-art:

My own thought on the content of the above is merely this: Stories don't end. That they do, or exist in any way that is linear in time, is the most fundamenal part of their illusion.

Love it!

Another one of my fave sayings re: fanfic, although I forget who said it: "Fanfiction is what happens when corporations own stories" which isn't the same point.

Strangely enough, that got cut out of an interview I gave re: fanfiction for one of the Matrix documentaries... Then again, a whole LOT got cut out of that interview. :(
