Oh, so the one I saw ISN'T the last one -- it hasn't hit On Demand yet, which is how I watch it. The last one I saw was "A Barbeque for Betty," which was chock full of lots of interesting little things that we didn't know. I mean, I knew Bill got kicked out of the compound, but I wasn't really aware he lived on the streets. And man, Nicki is just getting so nefarious. It's like she's given up trying and has just spin out of control, and is pretending like she's along for the ride.
The whole thing about Betty and her string of cults put things in an interesting perspective, and you could tell that some members of the family were chewing on that as Don listed off her history...
Ah, if you've not seen last night's yet, there's that and two more.
Bill having lived on the streets is a fairly accurate thing in terms of "lost boys" from polygamist mormon groups. So they did well with that.
I weirdly like Nicki, because I feel like I get her conflict which is very-status based -- think about it, her father is the fucking _prophet_ so whoever she marries, she looses status when she marries, so she marries the grandson of the first prophet of the group who was forced out and possibly murdered, and now she's a second wife but for the first time in her life has access to material things. I adore Nicki's conflict.
