celiacchicks.com -- restaurant reviews of gluten-free and celiac-friendly restaurants in the city. There is hope. And hey, hummus doesn't make me sick now that I'm eating it on corn chips instead of wheat crackers.

A woman I used to nanny for has celiac. She has loads of info on the subject, however, she also went all macrobiotic crazy too...I'd be very interested to hear your take on the subject as your pretty reality grounded...

See, this is exactly why I hate having this disease. I know all these fearful, fearful women with it, who use it as an excuse to be in hysterics about everything. I need to not have gluten. I need to be very careful across cross contamination and I need to take vitamin suppliments, but for fucks sake, give me bacon and give it to me now.
