Also, make sure you weight you bag. I've taken six flights over my holiday so far and they have often had scales at check-in to double check if you are over. Some give you a bit of leeway, others are very strict.
If you buy stuff or feel over-stuffed thyen mail stuff home. I have sent home three parcels over the last month with some souvenirs but also clothes I could do without.
