(no subject)

today I finally bought gluten-free condiments and made myself a steak for dinner. Then, I had an actual chocolarte bar for the first time since this happened -- Dagoba dark chocolate, macadamia nut and lime. Good for the soul.

Dagoba bars are YUMMY!
By the way, I haven't thanked you yet for posting about your gluten-free adventures and inspiring me to try something similar. I've had a mostly wheat-free month and I feel Grrrreat! I am definitely going to keep this up.

I was glad to see you found the oskri bars. I enjoyed them and so did the gentlemen, which is - sort of amusingly appropriate to [his] tastes, though I can't see him deigning to eat a sesame energy bar often. It would have to be packaged completely differently for him to buy such a thing. heh.

One of the most galling things about this gluten-free situation is how my food is now wrapped in like 800-layers of plastic at all times.

Perhaps what they're really trying to say is that all people with celiac need a hazmat suit. I had to open the sesame bar wrapper with my teeth because it was so incredibly sealed.

It's also really a shame plastic wrappers don't seem to be recycleable anywhere.
