Got paid. Earned more than I realized. Can pay bills, book a massage, order the wax seals and deal with my Regency wardrobe (as well as the suit I want from eShakti). Tres bien.

Am working on a piece of original fiction I hadn't wanted to deal with, but which won't leave me alone. Luckily it's just a short story. Unfortunately it means I need to find a few hours to research stuff about the demographics and educational requirements of morticians.

Actually, I want to read him _after_ I finish this story. While there is nothing fantastical about the tale; it is very here and real and now, and begins with a man awkwardly flirting with a woman in a supermarket, the tone of it is going to be a little heightened, as if these are people who live just a little bit too close to magick that they maybe work a little bit harder than the rest of us not to see it. And Thomas Lynch seems _so_ grounded, I'm not sure I want him to shatter my illusions until I've dealt with the first draft.
