My computer is back (totally new OS) and my data was saved. It's going to take me ages to get things back how I want (scanner needs to be reinstalled, Trillian needs to be reacquired, etc etc -- nothing difficult but I may not have time for a few days), andboth my room and my digital life have been totally disrupted through this ordeal, but lots of cleaning done on both fronts.

Thank you to everyone who has been with me and offering help during this nightmare.

My machine is often on when I am not here though, so don't take it personally if I ignore you for hours and hours and hours. But if we chat, please msg the i.d., so I can re-ad you to my buddy list, as that is not something we were able to save.

The HP universe is such a series of tragedies. What's fascinating to me, and such a really lovely surprise, that its Snape's story we'll ultimately have the fullest picture of if not in the details, in the arc.
