While still not really knowing how I feel about it all, I did just agree to the additional shoot. It's in late September, which is excellent, as it will be cool enough to dress as I choose, and also gives me time to screw my head on better. I did, flat out say that no, they could not interview my parents (who are never anti-gay with me, but just entirely do not acknowledge it), and they've asked me to bring a friend that wants to be dressed up the way I dress, although if I can't cajole any of you into it, I'll be doing this to the host.

The cool thing is my regency stuff will probably be here by then, so I'll have lots of choices of new clothes to show off for it. Chances are I won't wear my Kabriel coat (as one should not go try on clothes when buried behind hundreds of buttons), but since they do want to tape my selecting my wardrobe for a given day, there will be a "pet pet pet, look at this" moment, because it really is the best. Tiny buttons!
