I have started Melusine for Jaida's bookclub thing. It is very gay. It seems to be well characterized and written, but oh bloated with the tropes of its genre! Of course, I'm only on page 30.
I'm really glad someone else is going to have things to say on thiis front. I love science fiction and fantasy desperately, but I loathe the conventions of it by and large and am a very picky reader. This is exactly the sort of thing I try to avoid although better than average as far as I can tell. It's also helping illuminate to me exactly the things I don't want to do in terms of world building in my novel.
