Make sure you look at the slide show.
One minor quibble: to give Darlinghurst only a single, not entirely spot-on adjective (youthful) really skips over the narrative weirdness of it. Darlinghurst is weird not in an East Village sort of way, but in a series of block by block juxtapositions that seem not to make sense at first, and then feel like a novel by the time you're done surveying the area (short version: astounding gourmet restaurants, boutique hotels, historic mansions, Australia's first synogogue, the Darlinghurst gaol, a monument to those who have died because of anti gay and trans violence, and oh yeah, male prostitutes all in about a five block radius).
