How can every day of fencing be so hard and make me so crazy and then the next day when I'm stiff and cranky all I want to do is do it again? It must be that human defense mechanism of forgetting pain.

Long, but nice day ahead, and I think I finally figured out the one Christmas present that I really couldn't figure out.

Off to the movies.

But it's the good kind of pain!

Because you love it and you love what it is doing for you.

sounds like my relationship with ballet. I just started taking one beginning class after 20ish years of not dancing (yikes, I'm OLD) after a coworker wanted me to come to her class with her at a local company. I am so in love. I cannot stop practicing. The class is brutal and I suck so much that it is totally humiliating, but it doesn't seem to matter.

And today, I'm still sore from Saturday's class. I keep meaning to post about the boring details, but alas, I haven't yet found the time.

Seriously, I would go more than once a week to ballet class too if I thought my feet could handle it. One week is just enough time for my bunions to stop hurting. I need to figure that out, because I suspect bunion pain is a bad thing and I don't really want surgery as it would ruin my tattoo!
