Okay, this is all terribly exciting.

BUT, was Mrs. Coulter really blonde though? I felt sure it specifically says in the text she wasn't. And Asriel has short hair? I suppose my own feelings on that must have been my imagination, but I'm startled; Daniel Craig is totally the right guy for the role though.

Also, they're either trying to maintain some mystery (as the first book does) about what Dust is and so forth and so on, or I have a bad feeling about exactly how they are going to try to wiggle out on this war on Heaven business.

I don't think I realized how important it was to me they don't fuck this up.

I was unaware of both, but I'm picking up "The Golden Compass" at my library as soon as I can.

They are fantastic, but very problematic books, but I'll let you read them first. They give kids a lot of credit for being smart and worldly though, and it's nice.

It looks damn pretty. I had chills going through parts of the website. I wasn't sure they'd be able to pull it off, but looking at the site, it would appear that they just might.

I'm also kinda hoping they sell alethiometer replica props at some point. :)

See, that's what I thought! because I was thinking of being her for Halloween this year (more likely next year) and a bunch of peopel I knew said, "isn't she blond" and I was like "no no no no!" I'm glad I remembered that right.

heh, maybe you should print out the direct quote(s) from the books with the page number and keep it in your pocket to show your detractors when you do it.

I'm looking forward to the creatures with the wheels, but I'll have a long wait for that. I really wanted to go to their world.
